Got food here! Julie was the best waitress ever! Super friendly and helpful! We got our food super quick and it was so yummy! If you're looking for quality food and a good conversation, I highly recommend going to Valois and talking to Julie!

This is all that remains of the best chicken pot pie ever. Every time I eat here I'm more impressed. Big kudos to the wait staff and owners who handled a huge hockey tournament seating today with such efficiency and calm. Well done. Thank you for such great food and service.

Didn’t get a room but ate in the restaurant. Great food great service and was very impressed with the bathroom as well. Very clean and smelled wonderful. Also they provided hand moisturizer which I thought was awesome of course. Found their hospitality so great great food great waitress smiled a lot and was very polite and just everybody the staff was great. I didn’t stay in their rooms but I imagine it’s probably very clean room also quite relaxing.

Note: This review is for the restaurant only. It’s a stormy weekend and we really felt like enjoying some comfort food. We opted for a Valois poutine as we’ve enjoyed them in the past. The service (pickup) was friendly and the food was tasty as always. Fair warning that you’ll need a hearty appetite as the portions are huge and the cheese is in abundance. The price is great also and not too long a wait. Thank you for the wonderful food and service and I’m sure we’ll see you again soon!

Been driving to North Bay / Ottawa for years now, and we always make a point of stopping at the Valois for Dinner & Pie. Great Old Fashioned Family Diner. Solid Burgers & Fresh Cut Fries, and homemade pies.

Can’t say enough about this the owners and staff. We just finished our skidoo trip (RAP) we had some breakdowns with our skidoos and they found parts and tools to get us back on the trails. Thank you so much for great hospitality. Food was great , accommodation were clean . Had a great stay. If you’re a snow mobiler this is a great stop to stay .

We had a great old-fashioned meal here (my husband has been coming to this restaurant for over 50 years). I had the club which was made with roast chicken (not deli chicken) and he had the hot turkey sandwich with a generous portion of roast turkey. The salads we had on the side were crisp and fresh. There were lots of servers who were friendly and efficient and the atmosphere felt homey and warm. I've always loved the view of the river!
